Gems are found in almost all parts of the world and are known to one and all. Certain gems have almost magical power of healing and fortune giving. Different gemstones have different effects on different people.

Thousands of years of tradition and experience has gone into formulating the effects of gems on human beings. This science is known as Gemology. More than 15 centuries ago, in India, the great Varahe Mihira,famed for his studies in astronomy, also wrote a definitive treatise, named "Ratna Dipika"(Light in Gems).

There are nine gem-stones considered the most valuable and effective. They are called 'Nav Ratan' are Nine gems. They most effectively reflect the strength of the planets and also produce changes in our body.

They are Ruby,Diamond,Emerald,Yellow Sapphire, Blue Sapphire, Cinnamon stone or Gomedha,Pearl, Cat's Eye and Coral. Many Indians wear rings with all the nine gems and claim to be successful in their lives on all fronts.

Gems have the power to keep in healthy balance the minerals in our bodies. The cosmic rays of the planet related to a particular gem, enter the body through that gem when it is worn touching the body. Then many positive things happen which we call good luck.

The gems filter away the negative aspects of the planet's rays and only benefic rays are allowed in. For persons, protected by these gems, both negative and positive rays enter and many a time the negative effects may be the stronger ones.
