De Beers Diamonds International Awards (D-IA) 2000

Diamonds,
which were discovered more than 4000 years ago, continue
to be the world's most dazzling and desired gem. The
De-Beers, Diamonds International Awards ( D-IA 2000)
ceremony was held in January 2000 in Paris. This unique
'magic and mystique of the new millennium'
Competition called for special pieces for the new millennium
and the creations featured in the most spectacular DIA
collection so far, incorporating 47,000 diamonds weighing
a total of 2000 carats! Among the 29 winners, 3 were
from India.

Vision 2000 Awards
|
The
India Vision 2000 Jewellery Design Competition was organised
recently by the "The Gem & Jewellery Export
Promotion Council (GJEPC), Government of India. It displayed
24 pieces of scintillating jewellery designed by the
finalists, and sponsored by leading jewellery manufactures
of the country.

Hongkong
Diamond Design Competition - 1991
|
Nineteen
Designers, 13 from Hongkong, 4 from Singapore, and one
each from Indonesia and Malaysia received 20 Awards in
the 1991 Hongkong Diamond Design Competition. The theme
being 'Diamonds', 50 percent of the value of materials
had to be Diamonds. |
